Health Watch are a national independent organisation that champions people who use health and social care services, particularly those who find it hardest to be heard.  Their role is to find out what matters and to help make sure the public’s views are used to shape the support needed.

There is a local Health Watch in every area of England finding out what people like about services and what could be improved.  These views are shared with those organisations that have the power to make change happen.  Health Watch also help people find the information they need about services in their area.

Nationally and locally, Health Watch have the power to make sure that those in charge of health and social care services hear people’s voices.  As well as seeking the public’s views, Health Watch encourage health and social services to involve people in the decisions that affect them.  Health Watch champion what matters and work with others to find ideas that work.  They are independent and committed to making the biggest difference for health and social care service users.
