We are pleased to announce that Northamptonshire ICB has secured funding via the East Midlands Cancer Alliance to implement C the Signs, an advanced AI-driven platform for the early detection of cancer. This represents a significant step forward in our commitment to improving cancer outcomes and ensuring equitable access to early diagnosis for all patients.

What is C the Signs?

C the Signs is a clinically validated, decision support platform that uses artificial intelligence to identify patients at risk of cancer at its earliest and most treatable stage. It is capable of analysing a wide range of clinical, genetic, and demographic data in under 30 seconds, supporting both point-of-care decision making and population wide screening initiatives.

C the Signs has so far been implemented across 14 Integrated Care Systems  in England and is live in approximately 1,600 GP practices, actively serving around 10 million patients

Next Steps

Over the coming weeks, engagement and awareness initiatives will commence across PCNs / Practices which will help shape the rollout of C the Signs throughout Northamptonshire. Comprehensive training and support resources will be made available for all participating clinical teams.

It is envisaged the system could be deployed as early as September 2025.

A full programme outlining the necessary steps will be shared shortly.
